Don’t miss out on the first CMBC Beeyard Tour!
Mark your calendar and plan on attending The Catskill Mountain Beekeepers Club first Bee Yard Tour for 2019. Fellow Club member, Wayne Weaver, is kind enough to host another tour in his apiary. Wayne will open a few of his hives to do an inspection, such as looking for signs of a queen, is there brood, what does that look like, are the bees bringing in pollen, look at the frames and what do you see.
You'll get a first hand look at Wayne's handmade hive stands and tools that he uses. If you are new to beekeeping, plan on attending. This is a wonderful learning tool. Please bring your beekeeping attire and contact Wayne if you plan on attending. This is a free event and available to current CMBC members. Hope to see you there.

Our club began in 1996 with a dedicated and experienced handful of people. We now have over 130 member families who raise bees, teach others about beekeeping, and sell their honey products. We contribute our time and information to the Catskill communities by participating in numerous events in Greene County. In addition to our hive products, our exhibition booths contain literature, posters, equipment, and an observation hive.
The purpose and objectives of our club are:
• Serve as a resource to local beekeepers.
• Educate the community about the joys, skills and fruits of beekeeping.
• Provide an outlet for the membership to sell member-produced honey and other hive products.
• Foster interactions with the agricultural community and other beekeeping organizations.
• Recruit new members.
